{2}

Declan,
 You turned 2 over two months ago, but I haven't been keeping up with blogging but I wanted to remember your special day.

Your Birthday was on a Saturday and after Evan's game we all kicked around a bit and you scored goal after goal :)
You have brought SUCH joy to our family. You are so happy, always making us laugh, keeping us on our toes.
Pocoyo was on cake.  A simple cartoon narrated by a Brit, you love that little boy and his animal friends.
We had some our friends the Valentines and Alexis over. A grand Mexican feast for dinner, followed by a water balloon fight. You loved it! It was a fun day and you had a smile on your face the whole time! You have the sweetest personality, and always want in on everything. We are SO incredibly thankful for you, our sweet 4th born boy!

xoxo,
Mom

{11 years}

11 years. 2 moves and 5 boys. More in love than ever. Yeah, yeah I know people say that all the time. But it's true! I do fall more in love with Justin each year...and I didn't know that was even possible when we got married!! We had an awesome night out together at Saul Good {a great local place} with lots of laughter. The night wouldn't have ended right without a proper fight.  Just keeping it real. Followed by a few days of silent treatment {courtesy of me} we talked it out and back to happy as clams...until the next round. I'm not going to even pretend we have our crap together because we don't and honestly a good fight now and then feels good between two sinners. We really don't fight about much, it's pretty much the same things over and over and over and yeah it's old but we are figuring it out.
 SO, enough about that. I'm so grateful for this man I married. God has used him in my life to draw me to him. He is so patient and kind. So wise and giving.  Through there are hard days, in the end we always choose to love. Just as Christ loved us. We forgive, we try to do better. This is our commitment to each other.
Happy 11th anniversary Just. I'm thankful to be able to do life with you! love you. xoxo, Anne

Dec { my helper}

The #process of emptying the #dishwasher may take longer with his help but I wouldn't have it any other way :) #projectlife365
Declan is my little helper. When I am emptying the dishwasher, folding laundry, sweeping, or picking up something that has spilled...DEC is there. #freestyle dish washing #declan #projectlife365
I remember one time I got upset with him for messing up a pile I had just swept up, and Justin was home and said, "he just wants to help you." Then of course I felt bad, and realized how sweet this boy was, following his mama, trying his best. #goodmorning #declan #projectlife365 Going to try and write more on the blog. Pretty sure nobody reads anymore, but I'd like to get writing a bit again.

{fruit cake}

Growing up, we would see my Dad's family one day in December. And on that day we'd eat, exchange gifts, laugh and have fun. My Father and my Aunt Lo have had an ongoing "exchange" of a fruitcake. The thing is, one doesn't merely just hand over the fruitcake. NO, they cleverly hide it so that they make sure the fruitcake goes home with them and doesn't "accidentally" get left behind. So with the birth of Griffin in November, we didn't make any travels up North for Christmas and instead had everyone come to us. My parents came a few weeks before Christmas to celebrate with us, and were headed home on a Saturday afternoon. My parents fly standby because my brother works for an airline and so if there is no seats, they don't make a flight. Soon after I took them to airport I get a call asking to pick them up because their flight was delayed which would make them late for their connection so they were just going to fly out Sunday morning instead. I pick them up and my Dad tells me he was asked some questions in security. As their bags are being scanned they see a strange object in my Dad's suitcase. They run it through a second time, and the third time they pull out a small package wrapped in Justin Beiber paper. "what is this?" -TSA agent asks. My Dad looks at my Mom, "what is that?" "must be from Anne, look at the paper!" she replies. They scan it one more time and let them through. And what was in that Bieber wrapped goodness you ask? fruitcake. {keeping tradition alive...next year I plan to get my brother ;) }

Anthro. {now open Lexington, Ky}

Untitled   Allison & I both got special invites to Anthropolgie's open house the day before their official opening, and we were pretty stoked to go check it out.
What a night! @anthropologie @anthropologiegirls #lexingtonkentucky #anthropologie #openhouse They had little trays of goodies going around, along with glasses of champagne...quite tasty!

And one of my favorite things about shopping at Anthropologie is the decor. They do such a wonderful, detailed job in each of their stores.

It was a fun night, and we are so excited to have an Anthro. in Lexington. Untitled
