I enjoy painting on canvas...the problem is, I have NO (nada, zero, none) talent. I can hardly paint a simple circle let alone a sweet finished product. But I love it nonetheless. They say practice helps, but I'm pretty sure my skills will stay put at the level they are at.
Anyway, I decided to try and paint a few canvases for our Master Bedroom update, and those are still in progress. I did however do this sorta fun house one that I temporally hung in the living room. It is relaxing to paint no matter how good (or third grader) your finished product turns out.

I'm with ya there Anne. I love to paint - find it sooo relaxing - but I truly have NO talent in the area. It's still fun though, eh?
By the way, I like the houses. Who says third grader-ish aren't isn't art and en vogue?! :)
Anne!! I love that painting!! Love it. I'd hand it on my wall in a heartbeat. My sister-in-law does the same thing. She has a bunch of paintings on her walls. They are all cheesy drawings, but that's Amanda! I think it really makes your home YOU. It adds LIFE to your house, and honestly I think it makes people feel warmer and more at home while at your house!
I say keep it up, and keep sharing your paintings with us. I'd like to buy one.
I think it looks great. Don't be so hard on yourself. I think you have great talent. I would buy it if I saw it in the stores ;)
agreed that it's great.
Fun artwork, Anne! Keep painting!
Hey I like it!!!!! Canvas is fun. I love to paint on canvas too and print my photos on canvas. Want to know a secret???? You can Mod Podge on canvas too. So....if you are handy with scissors you can cut fun pattern paper or use stencils or cookie cutters and cut out patterns and collage on canvas with mod podge then go over it again with mod podge. I have seen some cute ones done with the birds you like. Super easy. Hey do you have Aaron Brothers where you are? Twice a year they do buy a canvas get one for a penny. Good time to stock up.
PS I love your houses. They look fun and modern.
PS you can use fabric too instead of scrapbook paper
Better than I could do, Anne. By a long shot.
