a few good children's books we've been enjoying lately.

I don't know about you but when I go to the library sometimes I feel really overwhelmed. There are a ton of books! Sometimes I can find some great books just by browsing, but recommendations and research ahead of time is always a good thing. Here are a few (some more popular than others) my boys enjoy:

Benny Bakes a Cake by, Eve Rice: ( my personal childhood favorite) When the dog eats Benny's birthday cake, Daddy comes to the rescue.

Busy,Busy Town by, Richard Scary. For that matter, anything by Richard Scarry. Great word books, with fun pictures. My boys love those animals!

Frieght Train by Donald Crew. Both my boys have this simple colorful book memorized.

Banana Moon by, Janet Marshall Great, colorful book for little ones!

Oh No Anna by, Vivian French. Anna goes exploring and you open the flaps to discover her mischief along the way!

Hippos Go Beserk by Sandra Boyton. These hilarious, rhyming board books are a hoot, and fun for kids from 1- 5. I've loved all her books.

Go Dog Go! by, P.D. Eastman. A simply worded, life lessons, romance book....my boys sure get a kick out of this one. Do you like my hat?

Goodnight Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann. As the zookeeper locks up for the night, the gorilla slyly pickpockets him and lets all his friends out to snuggle up with the zookeeper and his wife at their home. An adorable little book.

The Napping House by Audrey Wood. As everyone piles up to take a nap, the bed begins to bend and everyone won't be napping soon!

any you love?

Ok-
I just found your blog and I have many comments! 1) I LOVE the name!!!
2) I almost totally agree with your profile..IT sounds much more fun than mine. 3) Last week at story time, Oh No Anna was read. I could tell that my 2.5 yr old really loved it, naturally, when I got home I forgot the title. But not Sophia, she kept asking for it. So at story time this week I picked it up and to lure Sophia out of the children's dept, I handed her the book without saying anything, she said, "oh no Anna." Just touched my heart.

Have a wonderful day!
